Flatwork sessions and coaching
For two times last week, I had flat work sessions, so I am going to tell you about both of them in this post.
On my first flatwork session, I made a big circle and did some sitting trot with and without stirrups. Then, I cantered without stirrups, which was a lot easier (and less painful) than sitting trots without stirrups. On my second flatwork session, my family went with me to watch :). First, I did some extended and collected trots. Next, I had to do sitting trots and posting trots without stirrups :(. For the last part ,I had to do canter without stirrups, which was a bit faster this time, but it was still fun and easy :D.
When I finished giving Trojan a bath, giving her some carrots and hand-grazing her, I helped my instructor coach my younger cousin (he's taking riding for summer) who rode on Perla, a native pony who most of the kids ride. He just did some posting trots and sitting trots on a longe line. Then, I led my other cousin around the arena, as he just wanted to try riding Perla on a leisure ride.
So that's what happened last weekish. Please leave some suggestions for my sitting trot and posting trot without stirrups in the comments, and don't forget to tell others about my blog.
